Description
This focused half-day session is dedicated entirely to the assessment and regional anaesthesia of the hip and femur.
- Ultrasound Essentials: Probe selection, image optimisation, and knobology.
- Anatomical Recognition: Identifying soft tissue landmarks, the femoral nerve, and the fascia iliaca compartment.
- Needle Techniques: Mastering in-plane needle insertion.
- Regional Options: Comparative techniques for the supra-inguinal and infra-inguinal approaches to the Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block, alongside an introduction to the PENG (Pericapsular Nerve Group) block.
