Ultrasound Training Phantoms

Developing ultrasound skills requires practice. Our range of ultrasound training phantoms provides healthcare professionals, educators, and training organisations with realistic models for practising ultrasound scanning and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Designed for hands-on simulation training, our phantoms allow you to practise identifying anatomical structures, optimising ultrasound images, developing needle guidance techniques and performing simulated procedures before applying these skills in clinical practice.

Whether you are teaching ultrasound, developing your own procedural skills or looking for practical models to support simulation training, our range includes phantoms for vascular access, regional anaesthesia and fracture assessment.

Ultrasound Training Phantoms

Vascular Access Ultrasound Training Phantom

Practise ultrasound-guided vascular access and cannulation using simulated vessels at different depths. The model is designed to provide realistic ultrasound images and repeated needle insertion practice. It features two vessels of different internal diameters, allowing you to practise with a range of vessel sizes.

Nerve Block Ultrasound Training Phantom

Develop your ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia skills by practising the identification of simulated nerve structures, fascial planes and surrounding anatomy. The injectable model allows users to observe fluid spread under ultrasound during simulated nerve block procedures.

Fascia Iliaca Block Ultrasound Training Phantom

Practise identifying the anatomical structures relevant to an ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block, including fascia layers, the iliopsoas muscle, femoral nerve and femoral vessels. The phantom also provides a platform for developing needle guidance and injection techniques.

Colles’ Fracture Ultrasound Training Phantom

Practise identifying and assessing a simulated Colles’ fracture under ultrasound. The phantom allows users to examine the distal radius and ulna, assess bone alignment and develop ultrasound-guided techniques around the wrist and forearm.

Why Choose Our Ultrasound Training Phantoms?

Realistic Ultrasound Images: Made from non-toxic PVA hydrogel, our models are designed to replicate the acoustic properties of human tissue, helping users practise identifying relevant anatomical structures under ultrasound.

Practise and Repeat: Our phantoms provide an opportunity to practise scanning and procedural techniques repeatedly, helping you develop confidence, improve probe and needle handling, and refine your technique.

Affordable training solution: With prices ranging from £50 to £100, our phantoms provide an accessible and cost-effective option for individual clinicians, educators and training organisations.

Designed for Ultrasound Education and Simulation

Our ultrasound training phantoms are suitable for a wide range of healthcare professionals and organisations, including:

  • Doctors and other clinicians learning ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Medical and healthcare educators
  • Hospitals and simulation centres
  • Ultrasound training providers
  • Clinical teams developing procedural ultrasound skills

They can be used alongside practical ultrasound training to support the development of scanning and procedural skills.

What Our Customers Say?

“It help to practise and have a good feeling of handling needles and probe orientation.”

“Really grateful for this! A phantom can cost almost £1,000!”

“Very useful especially for practicing in line needling technique.”

FAQ

How long does an ultrasound training phantom last?

Our phantoms typically last 3–6 months, depending on frequency of use and storage conditions. With appropriate care, you may be able to extend their usable lifespan.

Are the phantoms reusable?

Yes. They are designed for repeated practice, although their lifespan depends on how frequently and extensively they are used.

How should I store the phantom?

When the phantom is in use, keep it in an airtight container in the fridge to help prevent drying. If you are not planning to use it for an extended period, we recommend storing it in the freezer.

How do I know when the phantom needs replacing?

The phantom should be replaced if it becomes hard, develops mould, or the internal structures become too damaged for continued use.

How long does it take to receive my phantom?

Please allow up to 10 working days for production and dispatch after we receive your order.

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. UK delivery is available for an additional £5. Guaranteed delivery is currently available within the UK only. We may be able to arrange delivery to other countries, but we cannot guarantee that the parcel will clear customs or reach its destination. If your order has not been delivered, please contact us as soon as possible. We will investigate with the courier and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or issue a full refund.

Can I collect my phantom?

Yes. Collection is available Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, from our training centre at:
