Why Choose Our Fascia Iliaca Block Model?

  • Lifelike Ultrasound Imaging: Made from non-toxic PVA hydrogel material, the phantom closely replicates the acoustic properties of human tissue, delivering clear and realistic ultrasound images of the relevant anatomical structures.
  • Realistic fracture anatomyFeatures simulated fascia layers, iliopsoas muscle, femoral nerve, femoral artery and femoral vein, arranged to reproduce the anatomy relevant to ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block training.
  • Ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia: Practise identifying the iliopsoas muscle, fascia layers, nerve, artery and vein before performing an ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca block.
  • Realistic needle guidance: Provides a realistic platform for practising needle positioning and injection techniques under ultrasound guidance.

Care and Storage

This phantom has a high water content, so it’s naturally wet to the touch. It contains a preservative to prevent mould growth.

  • Lifespan: Typically 3–6 months, depending on how it is used and stored
  • Storage tips:
    • Long-term: Keep in the freezer if not using for an extended period
    • In use: Store in an airtight container in the fridge to prevent drying
  • Replace the phantom when:
    • It becomes hard or shows signs of mould.
    • The internal structure is too damaged for continued use.
