About our APLS Course

APLS Training in London

How is the APLS course taught and assessed?

This is a pass/fail course that is offered as a mix of virtual and face-to face learning. You must meet the required standard in order to get a certificate at the end of the course.

In order to meet that standard, you must complete all of the virtual learning before the course. This is delivered through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). You will then need to attend two days of face-to-face tuition at our London training centre, where you will need to show that you can perform a number of tasks safely – such as managing a child who is not breathing.

The assessments are all set by ALSG. Our faculty will give you the support you need to pass the assessments on the day.

Why should you choose our APLS course?

What makes us different is that most of our faculty are practising emergency doctors, which means they are used to dealing with paediatric emergencies on a day-to-day basis and not just teaching them.

We have 18 years of experience teaching doctors, initially in emergency medicine. Many of our candidates have come back to us throughout their training. In recent years we have been drawing candidates from a wide range of specialties.

Our London based training centre is on the Jubilee line and easy to reach by public transport.
