Miranda Shrapnell

Miranda has been roleplaying since 2012 and has been with Bromley Emergency Courses since 2017. Her favourite thing about working here is getting to see candidates develop over their time on the course. As a professional actor, a large amount of her work has been on stage with credits including Subtitles (National Theatre Lithuania), offie nominated My Other Self (Cockpit Theatre) and Titus Andronicus (The Rose Playhouse). Her modelling work has featured in The Natural History Museum Magazine. Miranda has been training in static trapeze at the National Centre for Circus Arts and enjoys spending time with her mischievous cat, Figaro.

  As far as ultrasound courses go,  this has been the most educational.  Why?? There is nothing like practicing on ‘live models’, and this course offered just that!!! Furthermore, they do exactly what they profess to offer which is 1:1 hands on teaching … and by ‘hands-on’, I literally mean ‘HANDS-ON’.  Instructors with their hands on your hands guiding and correcting your scanning technique!! I learnt more in one day than I have done in several theory-focused courses (and I’ve been on a few!). Thank you so much!! I wish buying an ultrasound device was as straight forward (didn’t realise I’d have to take out a mini- mortgage to keep up my skills!! 😖) A special thank you to Michelle (I think 🤔 that was her name) for making it extra special by catering lavishly for my gluten free dietary requirement!
