Dr May Thu Hla Aye

Dr May Thu Hla Aye has over 10 years of point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) experience, spanning Brunei and Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAHT). She has trained more than 100 doctors in lung ultrasound and ultrasound-guided lumbar puncture, and at PAHT she played a key role in delivering FUSIC heart courses and leading monthly ultrasound training sessions over the past two years.

Soon to join the Royal Free London Hospital as an Emergency and Interface Consultant Geriatrician, she aims to further integrate PoCUS into front-door care to support rapid escalation and safe discharge. She has published on the use of ultrasound in gastroenterology and is currently authoring a practical guide on ultrasound “tips and tricks.
