About our APLS Course

APLS Course

How is the course taught?

This pass/fail course is delivered through a combination of virtual and face-to-face learning. You must meet the required standard to receive your certificate upon completion.

All virtual learning must be completed before attending the in-person component. The online materials are provided through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). You will then attend two days of face-to-face training at our London centre, where you’ll demonstrate key practical skills — for example, managing a child who is not breathing.

All assessments are set by ALSG, and our faculty will provide the guidance and support you need to help you succeed on the day.

It is endorsed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Completion of this course can be used for evidence in SLO5 of the RCEM curriculum.

APLS Course

Why should you choose our APLS course?

What makes us different is that most of our faculty are practising emergency doctors, which means they are used to dealing with paediatric emergencies on a day-to-day basis and not just teaching them.

We have 20 years of experience teaching doctors, initially in emergency medicine. Many of our candidates have come back to us throughout their training. In recent years we have been drawing candidates from a wide range of specialties.
