Dr Kate Mayers

Kate is a Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist – a maternal medicine specialist specialising in high-risk obstetrics and caring for women with pre-existing health problems. She works in a DGH caring for the most socially vulnerable women in London.
Kate is a Labour ward lead and Obstetric risk lead upholding high values and standards to ensure equality of care and safety to women and their babies.

She is London trained including training in tertiary units. Kate believes every obstetrician and gynaecologist should have basic scanning skills to enable excellent patient care and decision-making when on call.

As an educational supervisor as well as Guardian of Safe Working for her trust, she appreciates the current challenges in training and is passionate about teaching.
