Hazel Edwards

Hazel is Professional Officer for The British Medical Ultrasound Society and has 35 years’ experience as a clinical radiographer. She specialised in ultrasound in 1998 and her particular interests are in governance and multidisciplinary practice. Previous roles include consultant sonographer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and senior lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. Hazel has been involved in a number of research projects over the years and has published around 26 articles and reports. She is the first non-physician to be co-opted to the executive bureau of EFSUMB (the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound and Medicine in Biology), and is a past Editor-in-Chief for both Ultrasound, the BMUS scientific journal and Imaging & Oncology, a College of Radiographers annual publication.
