Professor Dan Horner

Consultant in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine; Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Dan is a previous Professor of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and current honorary clinical professor at the University of Manchester. He has research interests mainly in the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolic disease and early sepsis management. Dan chairs the Venous thromboembolism/Anticoagulation committee within a national VTE exemplar centre and is a topic expert for several NICE guidelines on VTE. He is the director of the newly formed Centre for Emergency Care and Trauma Sciences at the Northern Care Alliance.
