This is a new course to provide practice for the FRCEM Management VIVA. We were encouraged to create this course because of a lack of alternative resources currently available for doctors preparing for this exam.
Our one-day FRCEM Management VIVA course includes a series of small group sessions in the morning, focusing on common themes found in the exam including: complaints, incident reports, serious incidents, missed diagnoses, staff issues, resource issues, major incident planning etc. These morning sessions offer plenty of opportunities for discussion between faculty and candidates.
In the afternoon each candidate will have an individual full practice viva with an in-tray exercise, long case and feedback. During each candidates individual practice viva, the other candidates within the group will observe, and will be included in the feedback period.
There will be lots of exposure to typical Management Viva material across the day.
Numbers are limited because of the individual viva sessions.
